Terms of service

Last updated: 04/04/26

1. Overview

Welcome to Candy Works UK (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you visit or use our website, place an order, or interact with any of our services (the “Services”).

By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and any policies referenced here, including our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy (together, our “Policies”). If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be 18 or over, or have permission from a parent/guardian, to place an order.

  • If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information when ordering.

3. Products and information

We sell confectionery and food products. We take care to ensure product information is accurate, but:

  • Images are for illustration and packaging may vary.

  • Colours may appear differently on different screens.

  • Product descriptions, ingredients, allergens, nutritional information and availability may change from time to time.

Allergens: Please always read the ingredients/allergen information shown on the product page and on the packaging before consuming. If you have allergies or dietary requirements, contact us before ordering.

4. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable [EDIT IF YOU ARE NOT VAT REGISTERED].

  • Delivery costs are shown at checkout.

  • We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.

  • Payment must be received in full before an order is accepted and dispatched.

If we suspect fraudulent activity or unauthorised transactions, we may cancel the order and/or contact you for verification.

5. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We will confirm acceptance by email once payment is processed and your order is accepted.

We may refuse or cancel an order (for example, due to stock issues, errors in pricing, suspected fraud, or delivery restrictions). If we cancel after payment has been taken, you will receive a refund.

Order changes/cancellations: We aim to process orders quickly and may not be able to change or cancel an order once it has been accepted.

6. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, severe weather, or events outside our control.

Risk of loss/damage passes to you once the parcel is delivered to the delivery address provided.

If your parcel is marked delivered but you can’t locate it, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate with the courier.

7. Returns and refunds

Because our products are food items, returns are limited for hygiene and safety reasons.

Refunds, replacements and any issues with damaged/incorrect items are handled in line with our Refund Policy: [LINK TO REFUND POLICY].

8. Promotions, discount codes and bundles

  • Discount codes are subject to any stated terms and may be withdrawn at any time.

  • Unless stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be combined.

  • We may exclude certain products (e.g., limited editions, bundles, or sale items) from promotions.

9. Subscriptions (if applicable)

If we offer subscription products:

  • You authorise us to charge the payment method provided at the chosen frequency until cancelled.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription via your account or by contacting us.

  • Subscription pricing and product availability may change with notice.

[REMOVE THIS SECTION IF YOU DO NOT OFFER SUBSCRIPTIONS]

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence,

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,

  • or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Subject to the above, we will not be liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profits, business, or opportunity).

16. Indemnity

If you breach these Terms or misuse the Services, you agree to indemnify us for any losses or costs we incur as a result (including reasonable legal fees), to the extent permitted by law.

17. Governing law
